I went yesterday to see Oficina Municipal Theatre Twelfth Night - or whatever you want, W. Shakespeare, the company The Teatrão , in a staging of Marco Antonio Rodriguez. It was, as I recall, the first part of the company that I've seen, and judging by this I have been very stupid! The show is a delight, extremely faithful to the bard, either in text or in his mind, but a damn freedom. There is something of a deconstruction, not so much of the text, but the concept of the piece itself, the text as spectacle, as, after all, theater. A really fun part, has moments of high comedy, pure delusion, but everything, even really explain it very well, with much self-consciousness. Contributes greatly to the effectiveness of the show, pair
